Collinwood is a small city located in Wayne County, Tennessee, United States. It is situated approximately 110 miles southwest of Nashville, the state's capital. As of the 2020 Census, the population of Collinwood was 971.
The city has a total area of 1.95 square miles, of which 1.94 square miles is land and 0.01 square miles is water. The city is served by State Route 13, which passes through the city center.
Collinwood is home to Collinwood High School, which serves students in grades 7-12. The city is also home to the Collinwood Public Library and the Collinwood City Park.
Due to its location in the Tennessee River Valley, Collinwood experiences relatively mild winters and warm summers. The city has a humid subtropical climate, with an average annual temperature of 59.5°F. The average annual rainfall is around 55 inches, and the city occasionally experiences severe weather, including tornadoes and thunderstorms.
